Come to the vineyard on a late spring morning and learn how we plan for fruit set. In the afternoon you'll head off for lunch and a glass of wine at the local village pub. All included in the price.
After a period of dormancy in winter, the vines are now quickly bursting back to life with new shoots growing each day and clusters of early flowers appearing with increasing frequency. It's all happening fast; this could very quickly get out of control, applying a lot of subtle care and attention is crucial throughout this season.
During an enjoyable morning we teach you the important role the viticulturist plays in ensuring the growth is happening where it should. We want these flowers to grow and ripen steadily into good quality grapes, and we invite you to roll your sleeves and get involved. If the term 'bud rubbing' is new to you now, it will be as familiar as the taste of a fine wine after a spring morning in the vineyard with us.
